6700 Series Rip/Strip

For many years the KMC Rip Strip has been the main stay in the Southeast for breaking the hard pan and preparing an in row seed zone for uniform seed planting and excellent soil to seed contact in a variety of tough conservation tillage conditions. Middles are left undisturbed, and row components are designed and positioned to run through tall standing grains or heavy crop residue without dragging.

Key Features

  • Swivel Coulters or CCR:  Choice of spring loaded Swivel Residue Coulters or CCR
  • Ripper Shank:  Reset on the Go Shank or Toggle Trip Shank trail and are in line with the residue cutting coulters
  • Row Tillage Components:  Choice of various Row Tillage Components are mounted rearward of the Shank on a separate Tool Bar that floats independent of the main Tool Bar on Parallel Linkages. Row tillage components remain in the soil when Shank trips.  Additional down pressure can be applied to the tillage components with spring adjustment in the Parallel Linkages. Pneumatic Press Wheels can be substituted in lieu of Row Tillage components for sub soil no till applications
  • Units equipped with Swivel Coulters  come equipped with one pair of screw type adjustable gauge wheels on six and eight row implements and two pair on twelve and 16 row implements.  Additional gauge wheels may be required for additional flotation on twelve or 16 row implements that come equipped with Swivel Coulters.  Units equipped with CCR in lieu of Swivel Coulters do not come equipped with Gauge Wheels.  The CCR functions as Gauge Wheels.  However, in some conventionally tilled dry, sandy, loamy conditions, rear mounted Gauge Wheels may be required to prevent the CCR from pushing soil.
  • Parking stands are standard
  • A complete line of Accessories (Gauge Wheels, Planter Supporting Lift Assist Wheels, Planter attaching Reach Arms, Helper Wheels, Row Markers, Row Cleaners) is available to complete the unit for almost any field application.

The 5-bar basic frame consists of a 10’ center section with bolt-on extensions added to reach the designated width.  This piece of equipment is designed for high-speed operation with up to 25% less horsepower requirements than other incorporation methods.  It features more efficient S-tine placement for greater soil mixing activity and more uniform blending of chemicals in soil for improved herbicide performance.  The dual rolling crumblers create an ultra-smooth seedbed that levels and smooths the soil without leaving ridges.

Key Features :
  • Rear walking tandem crumbler attachments (standard)
  • 2 3/4″ sweeps with attaching hardware
  • Heavy-duty crumbler attachments
  • Regreasable tri-ply sealed bearings
  • Special linkage design permits crumblers to have more floating action on unlevel soils
  • Excellent heavy-duty quality

  • Saves time
  • High-speed
  • Level seedbed preparation to eliminate planter bounce

6000 Series Stack Fold Bars

The 6000 Series Stack Fold Bar utilizes double bar solid welded construction with 7″ x 7″ main tool bar and 7″ x 4″ front truss bar tied together with welded lap joint braces. The folding super structure is straddled above the tool bar and utilizes a solid welded center anchor for the wing pivot member and the adjustable leveleing bar.  The loveleing bar adjusts the angle of the wing to the center section.  When in the field position, the fron truss bar of the wing and center section are locked tohether with a wide span, pin and cable design that locks the wing to the center section virtually eleminating the possibility of tool bar failuer at the stack break point.  12(36-40) and 16(30) bars have an even wider, pin and double cradle design.  12 and 16 row hitches are CAT III and IVN.  All hydraulic cylinders and plumbing are standard equipment, adn hydraulics cylinders are 5 x 24″ stroke (12 & 16 row) for more than adequate force for floding and supporting heavy wing row components.

Tool Bar – Stack Fold (Rear Hinge)

KMC Rear Hinge Stack Fold Tool Bars are a rear hinge style design that reduces the weight and cost of the tool bar, but is proven by many years use to provide the strength necessary for the designated application. Rear hinge stack fold tool bars are available for seed planters, heavy loaded transplanters, speed wheel cultivators, hooded sprayers, and rotary hoes, and various other tools.
Key Features :
  • Tool bars come in various specifications specific to the designated application. Specifications vary in features including: tubing sizes, hitch height, in row or in middle components, and hinge strength.
  • Wings pivot on the rear side of the hitch bar and wing pivot arm.
  • Center sections are double bar welded construction.
  • Wings are stacked with two pivot bars.
  • The break points (center section to wing) of the front and rear tube are offset to accomplish a unique design that provides high strength at a low cost and lower weight.
Benefits :
  • The unique design of the rear hinge bars provides more than adequate strength for the specified application at much less cost and weight than straddle mount type stack fold bars.
  • Row components transport in upright position reducing wear on linkages.
  • Implements fold compactly for narrow transport.

Roto-Tiller

Hook up a set of planters to a KMC Roto-Tiller and you’ve got a till-plant combination that’s tops in its class in seedbed preparation and chemical incorporation. Reigning supreme for chemical incorporation, less chemical can be used and better weed control achieved. Conventional tillage farmers with tough soils can eliminate several passes with a disc harrow and/ or Field Cultivator by one pass with a KMC Roto Tiller after running a bottom plow. The Roto Tiller busts up the clods, incorporates chemicals, and prepares the seedbed all in one pass. With seed planters attached to the Roto Tiller an additional trip is eliminated. Completing all these operations in one pass saves the moisture until you are ready to plant.
